Vintage Wooden Measuring Mortise Marking Scribe Device 2 Beams

Description

I see so many of these on eBay, but not this exact one. Perhaps someone will recognize it. Just want to get it to someone who collects or appreciates these type of tools. The label is damaged, so I can't state the maker, but I can read 1845 on the gold label with bold black print.
Everything seems to be there in good shape. Brass tighteners, both sharp points and stainless buttons.
