Here is a very nice (Like New) and clean Stanley number 65 triangular head marking gauge. It has full original finish, no owner’s marks, and full bluing on the steel parts. The brass screw, pressure plate, and wear plate still have their protective lacquer finish. Of course it has the brass “moustache” wear plate on the fence. Made of the finest-grade Turkish boxwood remains a gorgeous light yellow-tan color, and the steel point is clean, full length and sharp. Except for the few rare examples found in their original boxes, this is about as nice a Stanley No. 65 as you are likely to find.
This Stanley No.65 gauge is a Type 2 as evidenced by Patent Pending stamped on the stem.
