    Description

    Very nice marking gauge. It is clearly old and the rosewood is dark, heavy and dense. The tool has been lightly cleaned.
    The marking gauge in good working order, and has all three pins. The brass thumbscrew on the end turns freely and moves the adjustable pin in and out. The side thumbscrew locks the moveable part securely and the threads are good. Overall length is about 7 1/2”. There is a small chip of wood missing at the end by the thumbscrew that won’t affect performance. See last photo.
    The gauge is very similar to a Stanley 77, but is unmarked as to maker.
