    LANGLAIS' Patent Angle Divider / Bevel --- UNCOMMON!
    Combination Bevel Gauge and Angle Divider / Bisector.  Langlais' June 12, 1894 Patent (and so marked!)  Similar function to Stanley's No 30 & 31 angle dividers but a whole lot harder to find.  Elaborately designed with the interaction of the two handles driven by a pair of cogged wheels.  And the handles themselves are tongued and grooved to ensure they fit snugly together whenever the bevel is in the fully opened or closed position.
    Both handles are strongly stamped with the makers name and patent information (last photo).  Note the curvaceously styled levers that lock the handles in place.  Rosewood and Brass with a Steel blade.  What a good looker!
    Fully functional with only average "toolbox" dinging and no consequential damage of any sort noting a small splinter of wood that has long ago gone missing from the side of one of the handles and multiple owner initials in the wood and brass (see photos).  Cleaned to collector standards, the brass has NOT been polished.  A beautiful old tool that is fun to use.  Excellent Vintage Condition and downright RARE!  Buy It Now!!
