Antique Original Brass Civil War US Oval Ammunition Box Plate

Description

I have for sale an original Civil War brass US box plate. I initially listed this as a belt buckle, and didn't even know these box plates existed, but another person was kind enough to let me know.
I left the plate in the way I purchased it and will allow the buyer on whether they wish to clean it up.
If you look at the back you can see where the loop hook on the one side has broken off. I have provided nearly (2) dozen photos below to give you a thorough view.
